Flow Table Hand Operated Cement : ( AEC - 40602)
- A Hand Operated Flow Table is a manually controlled testing device used in construction material laboratories to determine the consistency,
flowability, and workability of cement mortars. It helps in assessing how the cement mix behaves under vibration-like conditions by observing the
spread of mortar on a flat table.
- To evaluate the flow value of cement mortar or lime.
Measure workability of mortars before application.
Identify the influence of water-cement ratio and additives.
- Use in quality control, research, and site testing.
Help design mixes suitable for masonry, plastering, and flooring.
- A mortar mix is placed into a standard brass flow mould mounted centrally on the table.
- The mould is filled and then carefully removed.
The table is manually lifted and dropped 25 times using the cam mechanism.
- As the table drops, the mortar spreads outward due to its plasticity.
- The spread diameter is measured in two perpendicular directions to find
the average.
- Sturdy and compact design suitable for labs and on-site use.
- Precision-ground table surface for accurate spread measurement.
- Smooth cam-action lever ensures uniform drop height.
- Easy assembly and dismantling for transport.
- No electrical power needed, ideal for remote sites.
- Rust-resistant surface with protective coating.
- High repeatability and conformity with IS codes.
