RING MOULD

RING MOULD

Model No : AEC – 404

Standards As per : IS 712 1956, ASTM C 187

A Ring Mould is a cylindrical metallic mould used primarily in the flow table test for determining the consistency or workability of cement mortars. It holds the mortar or cement paste in a standardized shape before it is allowed to spread during testing.

  • Used in flow table tests to mold cement/mortar into a uniform shape.
  • Assists in determining flow value, workability, and plasticity.
  • Helps ensure consistent volume and shape for comparative testing.
  • Maintains standard dimensions for accurate test reproducibility.

The ring mould is placed at the center of the flow table.

  • Cement mortar is filled and compacted in the mould.
  • The mould is lifted vertically, allowing the mortar to spread.
  • The flow value is measured based on the increase in the base diameter.
  • Ensures that the initial sample shape remains uniform across tests

Rugged Construction: Made from brass or stainless steel for durability and corrosion resistance.

  • Standard Dimensions: Precisely machined to meet IS/ASTM standards.
  • Smooth Finish: Prevents mortar adhesion and enables easy removal.
  • Tapered Design: Ensures easy lifting without disturbing the sample.
  • Laboratory Grade: Suitable for repeated use in harsh lab conditions.
